During his internship with Pastime Tournaments, Tod oversaw key operational and communication functions across multiple tournament sites. His role included managing staff schedules and field assignments, maintaining consistent communication among customers, staff, and management, and ensuring that all venues, officials, and game schedules stayed on schedule. He also handled payment processing for gate admissions and apparel sales, while capturing social media content to promote select events.

Tod's biggest takeaway from this experience was taking on full responsibility for teams, umpires, and a competition site. The internship taught him how to navigate pressure, adapt when things didn't go as planned, and manage multiple moving parts simultaneously. This firsthand experience prepared him for future roles in collegiate athletics by strengthening his problem-solving and decision-making skills and his confidence in leading event operations.

Tod now serves as the Director of Facilities & Event Operations at Central Michigan University, overseeing game operations, scheduling, and facility management at the collegiate level.
