Sara Heise

Sara is a proud graduate of Central Michigan University's Sports Administration program. Although some time has passed since her CMU Days, she still draws heavily on the lessons she learned there. Two courses in particular, Sport Law and Sport Marketing, continue to influence her work. Sport Law instilled in her a lifelong awareness of risk, safety, and liability, essential skills in navigating the complex responsibilities of school operations. Sport Marketing taught her the importance of mission-driven communication, relationship building, and storytelling: Critical Components in fostering trust and engagement within a private school community.

With years of leadership experience in education and a passion for continuous growth, Sara Heise currently serves as the Dean of Academics and Operations at a TK-12 independent school in California. Her approach to leadership is shaped by resilience, faith, and a commitment to stepping beyond her comfort zone. She views every challenge, whether a setback, rejection, or an unexpected turn, as an opportunity to learn, evolve, and serve others more effectively. Grounded by her belief that god has a plan for her life, Sara credits her faith for providing steady motivation through both success and adversity.

In her current role, Sara blends these strengths daily as she supports students, families, and faculty while championing the mission and values of her school. She believes that meaningful leadership begins with authenticity, courage, and a deep commitment to help others thrive.
